Let’s go find some Play-Doh and have some fun! We found some great recipes to help save you some dough. We challenge you to share your play-dough creations. Do you make your own playdough or prefer to buy it? We have the ultimate playdough recipe for you to try. #NationalPlayDoh

Playdough ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup salt
  • 4 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2 cups lukewarm water
  • 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil (coconut oil works too)
  • Our secret is we use packets of kool-aid… great color and even better smell
  • Quart sized bags

    Instructions:
Mix together the flour, salt, and cream of tartar and kool-aid in a large pot.

Mix together the oil and water.

Thoroughly stir the water and oil in the flour, salt, and tarter over medium heat, stirring constantly. Keep stirring the dough until it thickens and forms into a ball.

Remove from the heat and place on wax paper or paper plate and let cool.

Store the play dough inside a resealable bag once done to keep soft. Keeps for up to 3 months.
NOTE: We found this was easy to make and not very expensive and with flu season we often leave the playdough creation on display as a great piece of art.
