Everyone Living in the U.S. Must Be Counted | Census 2020

As you know the U.S. Constitution requires a census of the population every 10 years? The 2020 Census will reflect everyone who lives in the U.S. as of April 1, 2020. COVID-19 will not stop this process. The census statistics help determine the number of seats each state holds in the U.S. House of Representatives and more importantly how billions of dollars in federal funds will be allocated by the state, local, and federal lawmakers every year for the next 10 years.

If you have not already completed your census, this is your last chance to respond on your own (either online, by phone 844-330-2020, or by mail) before a census taker visits your home to assist you in responding.

Your community could miss out on funding every year for the next 10 years if you don’t respond to the 2020 Census now. This means that you risk missing out on important funding that benefits you directly. Make sure you and those living with you are not left out. Visit 2020census.gov to respond now.

Your 2020 Census response is required by law. And just as everyone must participate, the U.S. Census Bureau is legally required to protect your answers. All census responses are strictly confidential. Identifiable information about you, your home, or your business cannot be shared with anyone, including with local, state, or federal law enforcement or immigration agencies.
