COVID-19 Cases Continue to Increase

According to the Missouri COVID-19 Dashboard (provided on the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services website), Jasper County, Joplin, McDonald County, and Newton County are all four in the top 10 jurisdictions in the state that have seen the highest percentage increases in cases over the last week. The chart indicates that data is delayed 7 days. In particular, Jasper County indicates 86 current cases, but yesterday’s Jasper County Health Department press release indicated a total of 130 cases in the county.

According to the Jasper County Health Department release, there are with 86 of those 130 cases in isolation. A total of 467 cases have been placed on quarantine and 349 people are being monitored. Most of those cases seem to be in the Carthage, Missouri area of Jasper County.
