Churches, Kansas Gov. Reach Deal

Two churches in Kansas have challenged Governor Laura Kelly’s ban on religious gatherings of groups of 10 or more people. In response to a lawsuit, the Kansas Governor and the churches have reached a deal that allows the two churches to disregard the ban through May 2. A new proposal extends this court order through May 16.

The agreement still needs to be approved by a judge and would take effect May 4.
